UFCW Local 1059 Foundation awards fifteen $1,500 college scholarships each school year. In addition, five “Textbook” scholarships of $400 are also awarded.
President Quickel said “It is a great honor for Local 1059 to be able to help members or their children obtain a college education.”
Scholarship applications are available online. Applications should not be sent in prior to the publication of the January/February UnionWize. Winners will be selected in a random drawing.
Members in continuous good standing for since January 1 of the awarding year, or their dependents, are eligible to apply subject to the following provisions.
