The Letter Carriers' Union and the UFCW partner for the biggest single-day food drive in the country, Stamp Out Hunger. Here's how it works:

    1. Fill a paper or plastic bag with canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned tuna, peanut butter, canned soup, pasta/pasta sauce, or cereal. These are the kinds of healthy non-perishable items hungry families need.
    2. On May 9, put your bag of non-perishable food by your mailbox for your letter carrier. Be sure to leave it out with plenty of time before normal mail delivery to be sure your letter carrier sees it!

Not all postal routes are serviced by the Letter Carriers' Union. The Stamp Out Hunger food drive covers parts of Zanesville, Columbus, Toledo, Lima, Mansfield, Portsmouth, Marion, Newark, Lancaster, and Jackson.
