Race for the Cure

UFCW Local 1059 is committed to a world without cancer. Members can support the important work of Susan G. Komen by participating in the Columbus Race for the Cure 5K run/walk.

UFCW Local 1059 will cover registration costs for members wishing to participate in the event and 50% of registration costs for family members joining you for the event. IN ORDER TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS REGISTRATION DISCOUNT, REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE TURNED IN TO UFCW LOCAL 1059 BY APRIL 7, 2025. Registration forms submitted directly to Susan G. Komen will not receive the UFCW 1059 discount.

After registration, we’ll be in contact with you in the days leading up to the event with information about our team photo that morning and your Race for the Cure t-shirt.

Super Saturday is a special event offering extra services on site that are not available at Tax Time regular services sites throughout the season.
Why make an appointment at this event?
Free tax preparation appointments are offered all day from certified tax preparers.
The Financial Empowerment Center will be offering appointments for clients to learn about its services and to sign up for free one-on-one financial counseling. This is available through a partnership with Jewish Family Services and the City of Columbus.
FREE child care available during your appointment. A few restrictions apply.
Free legal advice clinic from the Legal Aid Society of Columbus. Topics include landlord-tenant, family law, consumer rights, probate, public benefits, criminal record sealing and general legal issues. Attorneys cannot answer criminal or traffic law questions. Individuals must be income eligible for LASC services.
Community booths will be on site offering a variety of helpful resources.
Please call 2-1-1 after Jan. 27 and choose option 4 to book your Super Saturday appointment or click on the appointment link above beginning Jan. 27 to see if there are self-schedule appointments available for that date and location.
